That One Sided Love

You may not remember, the first time we met, the first time we spoke. But I remember because I was in love with you.

The first time we spoke, the first time we shook hands, I remember every detail about our interactions because I loved spending time with you.

I still remember the way you used to call me, the way you used to be with me and what we used to talk about.

When you asked me what I saw in you, all I could think of was your smile and they way you talk.

While others liked you for different reasons, I loved you for the way you were and not the way you looked.

People told me to move on but I just couldn’t. People don’t realise how serious I am about you. It’s easy to say move on but not easy to actually face it.

Yes, being in one sided love is hard because we live with the hope that this one sided will soon become two way.

Don’t we also deserve some love back?, someone to hold hands and sit together, someone to share everything, Someone who we know is always there for us.

Among all this grief, what gives us happiness is thinking about the person we love.
